I have wiring also.  Just trying to find some cheap lights taht will plug in.  Enduro Engineering sells a plug in kit but it's almost $200!

Just buy a aftermarket (Polisport, UFO, Acerbis, etc) headlight and an led taillight.  It shouldn't cost you more than $75.  To look even more road legal, just wire in a rear brake switch, which is also inexpensive.

I think that my bike already has brake switches on it, as there are extra wires on the brake calipers.  So really I just need a headlight and taillight.

I doubt that you bike has a brake switch on it.  The wires that you see are most likely for the stock odo/speedo.  The brake switch does not go on the caliper.  It is a pressure switch that is on the master cylinder.

I looked at it again last night and that is correct, no brake switch. There isn't a wire on the rear brake which I thought I saw.

I'll probably just go headlight/taillight if I do this, no real reason to go any further than that probably.

it was at jacks. we have a creek wash out that we like to ride up there. we were tempted to run the arrows right up it. its a tough ride for the average B rider

Seems quite early for them to be arrowing trails.

That'd be quite a sight. :)  Some cuold probably make it but it'd be crazy for sure.

I was thinking that too, maybe it's a test loop?

No other event that I'm aware of.  I doubt you'll see to many of the BMW type dual sport bikes at their event.  They are some geared for Adventure touring.  If they do come, I'd think they would be pretty miserable in the trails.  It's possible that the arrows are just rough arrows for the dual sport.  I'll ask one of the guys when I see them.

It is a 100-mile trail ride, not a 7-mile hare scramble.  So for a dual sport or an enduro, the course work needs to start about 2 months prior to the event.

Right now, they are probably "rough" arrowing it.  Finish arrowing and mileage / route sheet riding will be about 2 weeks before the event (October 2).

It is a lot of work for a few people, or it can be a little work for a lot of people.

I am not a member of the WCMC, but I intend to lend a hand with this event.  If anyone would like to get some fresh air in the in the woods, and do some trail work (even if it is for a just a couple of hours), please let me know.

Do you need a spark arrestor for this?  My bike is quiet so I see no noise issue but I don't think the stock exhaust has a sparky.
