2007 KTM Mini Adventure
« on: August 20, 2011, 11:41:37 AM »
An excellent transition bike for a developing rider, especially one coming off a PW 50. Smooth, yet strong power delivery and requires much less maintenance time compared to the SX models. Mechanically this bike is in excellent condition with many new parts and some extras. Cosmetically it is in very good shape. $800

 (315) 576-4727 for more details. Sorry, but no trades.

Nope, I know Dan, and he's on the site all the time.  Just doesn't post much.

Had a feeling I'd get the "rookie hazing" for this post. I've actually been enjoying the site since its early days back when riding used to happen between Sodus and Newark, formally became a registered user a few months ago, and enjoy the banter everyone shares regularly. I've met a few of you in person @ A51 and Hogback. I guess I'm just relieved that I didn't end up getting posted in the other CL section!

welcome aboard then. now get that post count up a bit and we'll stop hazing you....unless your the type who blows off riding to go to baby showers, in that case expect the hazing to continue.

I don't know about you, but I was ordered to the baby shower as material handler/hauler. Looked at it as an investment. My surprise gift was an old bottle of Spectro pre-mix with a nipple on the top, an old sprocket with dangling industry stickers as a crib mobile, and a copy of Terrafirma. Figured if I planted that seed early on, I would potentially save myself years of misery attending youth baseball, football, soccer etc . . . when I'd rather be riding. Seems to have paid off many times over as his desire to ride often gets me out on days I didn't plan to. His four year old sister rides a bit, but her passion for horsepower is more literal, and finds her in the stables and on a saddle.

LOL, perhaps.

I think whatever you did worked, becuase I think your son is going to be a really good rider. Not many kids as young as him have form like that.

Thanks Al - fortunately, he does what I say rather than trying to learn from watching me! Scooter - I've got a PW with training wheels, so I'm with you in spirit on the quad end of the spectrum ;)

Just needed to jump in on this - for anybody on the board with a kid that rides - these are really great bikes!  Perfect for a a little one coming off of the training wheels or a smaller 50 and needs something to grow into - they have great suspension and a ton of fun 2 stroke motor that a kid would love.  No magic button for starting but that is a good thing - it's taught my little boys how to start a bike when Dad's not around.  The bike is far superior than any other step up bike for a 5 or 6 year old, my oldest who is 9 rides it and still loves the thing. The price is right for that one too!

Plus, they sound really cool.  Kind of like a slightly muffled weedwacker.  And with no shifting they sound even better as the little guys wind them up.
