I'm really looking forward to this precip or not. I did it for the first time last year and had a blast even though I got stuck at the top of the big hill in back - stock tires are gone though!<g>
Loved the course the overall. Bean field was great; nice spot to just cruise along and relax a bit.
My only conundrum right now is whether to take the 450 or the 250. I'm leaning towards the 450, but thinking of gearing it down quite a bit. I've geared the 250 down by 7% (dropped 1 tooth on the front) and it's perfect for my ridding style (read 'slow').
I suppose if it's a nasty day, I'll stick with the 250 as it is a bit lighter.

Love that hill in the back! I got up it on my YZ with minimal issues although I almost didn't. On my KTM it should be E to tha mutha f-in Z.
It's up to you but I would say 250 unless you want to rock the 450 for the fast sections.
I thought that hill was going to be easy, but I had those dang stock tires

Got near the top and the rear end would not grab for anything. It just would spin and slide the bike to the right. Took two helpers plus me to get it up the last 10-15' (one was needed just to hold the rear fender and keep it pointed straight).
What I thought was weird though (and why I thought the back hill would be easy) was the steep hill right after scoring gave me no problems at all. Motored right up that like it wasn't there. Guess it just wasn't long enough like the back hill.
But no matter which I take, I'm just glad to be done with those stock tires. The MX-51's have been far better on both bikes and I no longer have the feeling of riding on grease when it gets wet

Spectators must have been laughing their a$$es off last year watching me slide around on the track.
Right now, I'm leaning towards the 450 just to get some hours on it as I know the course will be a bit more open and I've raced the 250 for everything else this year. It's only a 16lb difference between the two, but the 450 is quite a bit wider and not great in tight woods.
