Agreed, that is a lot of bike to learn on unless you're a giant. :)

How much are you looking to get out of the bike?

if you want to stick to 4 strokes definitely get yourself a 250f. I rode chris' 525 and that would be wayyy too much bike for me in the woods. I wouldnt even think of it. It would be great as  a dual sport or ralley and such but just way too much weight and power for me. I think my current bike is too heavy as it is.

I'm getting used to the weight. Crankshaft can do the hs on a 690 without any problems so a 520 would be fine :)

I'm looking for a MX only bike and am consdiering a big bore.  I don't have $2000 laying around right nwo though otherwise I'd snag it.

if you have the stock bar mounts I would pull the stabilizer off.  The bike is worth the same with or without the stabilizer, and the stabilizer is probably worth $200 by itself.

I don't have the stock bar mounts, I should look for some. If I don't sell it won't hurt my feelings. the bike runs great. it starts great and runs with no issues at all. I just don't know how to ride it. I wish I could try a 250 to see the difference. are the 250fs that much easier to ride?

at your size the 525 probably isnt too much bike, and the power is probably easy to control. its just going to be a lot heavier than a 250f. a 250f would probably make you feel more comfortable.

A 250f is lighter and slower so its going to beat you up less and give you more confidence.  You will probably feel like you have more control over a smaller bike.  It will be harder to ride in that it will require more shifting and clutching work to stay on the power.

Getting a smaller bike greatly improved my skill.  I was able to focus less on keeping the bike underneath me and more on riding well.
