More mx district drama - Pavillion leaves WNYMA

Sounds like Pavillion left WNYMA partly because they wanted to raise their prices, and WNYMA said no.

Here's what I don't get: why have a district with an "independent" board that can tell business owners (Area 51, Pavillion, other tracks) and a non profit club (PRA) how much money they can make and what they can do?  It doesn't make sense, and I can see why no business owner would want to be part of it.

It should be the other way around: the sanctioning bodies should be happy they have tracks to race on.  They shouldn't be trying to run business that they have no stake in.

Also, a group of people wanted to rent out that track on a Sunday and when wnyma found out, they told the track they couldn't do that. The people that run wnyma are the same as years ago and its still the same bullshit.

The proper response from Pavillion should have been "hey screw you, I'll rent to who I want, when I want.  My track, my money, my rules, go f--- yourself."

Yes I was bummed I was planning to go to that rental.   Looks like he will be able to do some rentals next year now.  That track is cool.

So Pavilion WAS a member of WNY MX Association, but now will just be a member of WNY Racing?

I think so. They were a member of wnyma and held races with them and WNYRacing. Now they will just be WNYRacing.

I have been ignorant of all of the politics in the whole WNY Motocross scene, and prefer to stay that way.  But it seems that since MX is so popular in WNY, 2 separate and concurrent series are necessary.  Can you imagine how long Sunday would be and how crowded the tracks would be today, if only 1 series existed?

There are like 5 or 6 people in wnyma that need to just go away and everything would be fine

Yeah, a WNYOA split would be a good thing ... 500 to 600 bikes on a short course is HARD on the land (Rut City).

There was a district meeting for wnyma and some hot shot know it alls yelled at glen, the owner of pavilion and threatened him and his family and made his wife cry. Glenn put out this video:

It's on Facebook and the other district members still post on his wall with bs drama. Unbelievable.

That is incredibly stupid.

I've constructed a little business based scenario to explain what these jokers at WNYMA are doing.

Imagine if we had dirteaters, INC and we made widgets.  Of course only we would know what our costs were, and how much we coudl sell our widgets for.

But now imagine the Western NY Widget Makers Association came along and we joined it to help sell more widgets.  They say they are "for the widget buyers".  Then they start telling us how much we could sell widgets for, told us days we could make them, and other aspects of our business.

Eventually we would say screw this, and go out on our own again.

That is exactly what WNYMA did and it is stupid.  They claim to be "for the riders" but if you are telling FOR PROFIT businesses that people use to make a living what they can do, and it becomes inconvient for them, eventually they are going to tell you to go screw.

Throw in threats and mafia like stuff into the mix as well. Oh and they think its ok for a 58 year old man to have sex with a 15 year old boy.
